Papa The Jokester

Yesterday I listed just a few of the things I love and appreciate about my Dad.  One of those was that he’s a jokester and makes us laugh.  Here is a prime example.  I was processing orders at work today when my phone vibrated, indicating that I had a new text message.  I looked at the text message and there was this picture along w/ this note:

“Help!!! Help!!!  This killer rabbit caught Emma and when I tried to help her it grabbed me by the ear and won’t let go!!!  OUCH my ear!  I am a wanted man…just read my shirt…Help, HElp, HELp, HELP!!!”

I guess Britt had borrowed Dad’s live trap and brought it back today w/ the little stuffed bunny inside.  Dad came up w/ this story and picture to go along w/ it and sent the text to Britt and us.  He cracks me up.  The best response was Nate’s. 

Nate wrote back, “You.Are.A.Dork.” 

Then Dad wrote back, “An earless dork, thank you.”

I am so glad that my family gets each other’s weird humor, and that we like to laugh and be silly together.

Tonight at Christine’s we had 2 extra guests join us.  Genevieve G. and Melonie F.  We had a total blast talking and catching up on the latest news in each other’s lives before we started watching Bachelorette. I love it that we can share personal things and not worry about it leaving that room.  Anyways, I was SO PROUD of Emily for getting rid of Ryan.  I can’t believe that he was trying to turn it around on her and make her feel guilty for sending him home.  I wished she would have been stronger and told him he was a joke and she was onto his little games and that he needed to get steppin’ to the curb.  We all cheered and clapped when she stayed strong and sent him home.  My 3 favorites are Doug, Arie, & Sean.  I LOVE our Monday night get togethers.
