Running Errands & A Runny Nose

IMG_6773 I woke up this morning still feeling stuffed up and sick.  My eyes are flat and dull and have lost their luster & sparkle.  I made an egg & cheese quesadillas w/ salsa for breakfast and Autumn & I had breakfast in bed while watching Disney channel cartoons.

IMG_6775 Then we got busy writing thank you cards.  Autumn did great writing down what letters I told her that formed words.  We wrote 6 thank you notes and then got ready for the day.  We stopped by the post office to mail our thank you notes and 2 packages.  It’s been over a month that I needed to mail the packages, so it felt good to get that errand done.

IMG_6776 Next up was a stop by our favorite store…The $1 Store.  We went to see if they had a few jars for us to put cookies in to take around w/ a few of our thank you notes.  Sadly, they only had 1 jar, so we’ll have to use paper plates for 2 of the 3 people we need them for.  Autumn found this awesome helmet in the Halloween section.  I especially love it w/ her fancy pink outfit and boots.  Ha ha ha.  I have to mention that I overheard her playing w/ her dolls the other day and she had one of the Barbies say to the other one, “I’m just going to the $1 Store.  I’ll be back later.”  LOL!  I guess that her playing reflects real life.

IMG_6777 It was really bright and sunny out, so she asked if she could borrow some sunglasses.  All I had were these big bug eye sunglasses, but she pulled off the look.  I just love her outfit, especially since we got the shirt and pants for just $5 all together at WalMart.  I love finding good deals.

Anyways, we went to Mom & Dad’s house and started another puzzle.  We spent the whole day just hanging out and vegging and watching TV.  It’s always nice to have your Mom take care of you when you’re sick.  There’s just something so comforting about it.  She took good care of me & Autumn.  We watched football and movies and the Food Network, and it was so relaxing to have nowhere to go and nothing to do.

One of the shows we watched was about the staff that work at the White House.  It was FASCINATING to hear about the First Families from their perspective.  They should make a TV show about it, kind of like Downton Abbey w/ the upstairs and downstairs people.  Autumn fell asleep cuddling on my lap around 6:00 and I thought she would sleep for maybe an hour or 2 at the most.  She slept until 10:30 when we all went to bed.  She was still tired so we went and slept in Nate’s bed instead of going home.  I hope I start feeling better and that my nose quits dripping like a faucet.
