Fun Friend Friday

Today right after work, I hopped in the car and went to meet up w/ my friend Monique & her boyfriend.  I had looked up some restaurants online that were about 1/2 way where we could meet.  There were good reviews online for this place called North Main BBQ.  For $15 it was all you could eat sausage, chicken, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, coleslaw, potato salad, beans, bread, a drink, & soft serve ice cream!  I thought that was a good deal and the food was pretty good.  It’s not the best I’ve ever had in my life, but it was still tasty.

It was great to see Monique again and catch up on what’s been going on w/ her since I last saw her this summer.  She & Miguel are so cute together and I am THRILLED for her.  She’s been through so much in her dating life and it’s awesome that she has found someone that makes her happy and treats her well.

We sat and talked for 2 hours, and it was so fun to see her again.  We were talking and figured out we’ve been friends since 2005!  That’s a long time, and we’ve been through a lot together.  I’m so thankful for her & her friendship and that we were able to meet up tonight.

I got to Mom & Dad’s house around 9:00 and got Autumn Bottom & came home and put her to bed.  For some reason I was really cold so I put on some slippers, fuzzy pajama bottoms, a sweatshirt, and started a fire in the fireplace for the first time.  It was so pretty, especially the fake embers.

I am really liking my cleaned off & festive mantle.  I should have done that a LONG time ago!  There’s something so comforting about having a fire going in the fireplace.  I won’t be using it for a while after tonight, b/c it’s supposed to be in the 80’s this weekend!!!
