I didn’t do a PRLife post last Friday b/c it was just too crazy of a week with Thanksgiving. But that’s REAL life for ya, and it kind of worked out perfectly that I was working on putting this post about “living in gratitude” together the week of Thanksgiving. So, without further adieu here is week 5.
Person ~ The person that makes my everyday a little better is Mom. We are more than mother & daughter, we’re best friends. She is so good to Autumn & I. She loves & serves her family. She is beautiful both inside & out. I’m thankful we get to see each other every day.
Place ~ I am so grateful for Slovenija. It’s one of my favorite places on Earth. I have so many treasured memories there b/c of my mission. I’m thankful I have been able to go back & visit a few times. A huge part of my heart will always belong there, especially in Ljubljana & Celje.
Thing ~ This necklace is special to me b/c it’s an actual mite (as in the widow’s mite) from when Dad & Nick & Nate went to Israel & Egypt. I love the symbolism of it & what it represents. I also love how it looks like a compass. It’s my favorite necklace ever!
Invention ~ Our dishwasher broke & we have had to hand wash all our dishes. But even more than the invention of the dishwasher, I am thankful for running water & electricity. Such incredible things that I take for granted every day. But they’re so important. I feel so bad for Hurricane Sandy victims that don’t have these “crucial luxuries.” So I’m not going to complain about a broken dishwasher b/c that’s a “1st world problem.” I’ll be more aware & thankful for water & electricity!
Health ~ I don’t exercise, so having this new Kinect w/ Just Dance 3 has been a lot of fun. I’m able to get some exercise w/out it feeling like a chore or drudgery. I can work on my health while having fun dancing around & enjoying myself. Yay for technology & fun!
Skill ~ One of my skills that I’m thankful for is my ability to figure out how to use most computer programs & that I can type fast. I am good at editing pics & blogging almost every single day. I make it a priority b/c I think it’s so important. I am almost up to 2,000 posts.
Memory ~ I am so thankful for this memory when Mou, Tara, Michael, Jeremy & I went to Six Flags together. We had such a fun day & laughed & talked while waiting in line for rides. Watching Tara tell the guys to push down on the rides so it would lock b/c her chest was too big was HILARIOUS. Looking back at this makes me happy that we all have so much history & love & friendship between us!
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY Y’ALL!!!
