Tonight when we got over to Mom & Dad’s, there was a little boy there w/ his Dad from Mom’s scout troop. They are having their pinewood derby next week and needed some help w/ theirs since they don’t have tools like a drill or sander. So, Dad was helping them w/ that. He had these 3 old cars sitting out on the table and Mom said they are Dad’s pinewood cars from when he was a little boy! How cool is that that he still has them? See…I come by my memory keeping honestly.
For our YM/YW activity tonight we played glow in the dark volleyball. Everyone got a glow stick and put it on, and then there were glow sticks in the beach ball. They also put some glow sticks on the top of the net so we could gauge where that was. Then they turned off the lights and we played. I tried taking a picture, but it was way too dark in there. One of the boys was swinging a strand of glow sticks around and this is what I got when I lightened the picture. Super grainy, but kind of cool looking. It was a really fun game until one of the kids kicked the beach ball and it busted. Then we just played regular volleyball for the rest of the night.
I got back to Mom & Dad’s to pick up Autumn so we could go home. She was fast asleep on Mom’s lap and Mom & I were just sitting and talking. All of a sudden Mom let out a yell and I asked her what was wrong. She said she felt something warm on her leg, and sure enough…Autumn had peed on her! We started laughing so hard and had to wake Autumn up out of her super deep sleep so we could get her changed before I took her home and put her to bed.
