Play Date At The Park

IMG_8598 We had a leisurely Saturday morning and just enjoyed hanging out and having fun.  Uncle Nick even get on the action and was a good sport about playing Barbies with us.

IMG_8604 We all went and picked up Charles so he could come over and hang out w/ Nick.  Autumn & I dropped them off at our house and then left to go to the $1 store to get a few things we needed.  We also picked up some Papa John’s pizza for lunch.  Charles had brought over the movie Uncle Buck and it was funny to see a movie from the 80’s that I hadn’t seen before.  We also watched The Addams Family.

IMG_8606 Nick had to go to work at 2:00, so Autumn & I took Charles home and then went over to Mom & Dad’s house to let Emma out to go potty and to use the internet.  Autumn wanted to do this big puzzle that Mom got her and had it put together super fast.  She has good puzzler genes.  LOL!

P1090003 We were going to go home when I got a text from the Dakins to see if we wanted to come hang out at the park.  It was a gorgeous day, and it’s funny b/c this morning I was actually thinking of inviting them to go to the park as well!!!  So, it was meant to be.  The kids had a great time running around and having fun.  The Dakins came prepared and even brought scooters & snacks.

P1090008 Autumn decided to be brave and try the skateboard.  I held her hand while she pushed along w/ one foot and then she’d put both feet on and I’d pull her along.

P1090013 It’s bittersweet to see Autumn running all around the playground, b/c it seems like just yesterday I had to help her go down the smallest slide b/c she was so little.  And now here she is running around the playground as one of the big kids.  And as a side note, look at the high heel boots on that lady standing behind Autumn.  Who in the world wears shoes like that to the park???

P1090019 Autumn & I worked on this poster board together.  It’s 100 days of school on Thursday, so she had to bring in something w/ 100 pieces of something on it.  I figured washi tape would be easy b/c we had 10 colors and would just need 10 pieces of each color.  And, she LOVES rainbows so it was perfect.  Plus, we didn’t have to glue anything on and worry about it being to heavy or worry about it falling off.

P1090020 Autumn’s other front tooth was super loose, and after we ate dinner, Dad tugged on it and her tooth came out!  It didn’t really bleed very much, and she did great and didn’t cry at all.

P1090022Now that both of her front teeth are missing and one on the bottom, she looks like a hockey player.  She was in a silly mood when I was telling me to show me where her teeth were missing and this was the best pic I could get.

P1090026 We ended the evening w/ some roughhousing w/ Papa.  It was a great Saturday w/ lots of fun mixed in.
