Mom made this A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E apron for a birthday present for a lady in our ward. It has so many cute details. Mom is such a talented seamstress!!!
We had finished the turtle puzzle a few days ago, but didn’t get a picture of it. So, we got a picture so we could take it apart and put it away.
On the way home tonight, I had to get a picture of this “eye of Sauron”from Lord of the Rings that was in the sky for Nick. When I showed this to him he said, “the phone poles look like the tower that the eye sits in!” I hadn’t even noticed that, but I knew he’d like it and get a kick out of the picture.
I rushed home at 7:40 to change into a dress, go pick up Karri, and then pick up one of my Laurel’s and her date so we could go to Mormon Prom. Karri and I were chaperones, and we had a great time! We went in the photo booth and used these funny props. We knelt down b/c we’re both so stinkin’ tall, but then realized after the pictures printed out that we should have been up higher. Oh, well! I was laughing so hard that Karri used the moustache as a uni-brow! I’m so glad she was there b/c we got a chance to just sit and talk while we chaperoned. I love her so much and am so thankful we are friends!
Earlier in the week she had texted me and said, “Do you want to go to prom with me?” Then immediately after that text she sent another one that said, “that sounds wrong. I meant to say do you want to carpool?” I laughed and laughed when I got those texts and wrote back that I would love to go to prom with her! When I picked her up tonight she came out, and I said, “darn it, I was going to be a gentleman and come pick you up at the door!” We laughed about it the whole night.
I’m also glad that none of my Laurel’s came dressed immodestly. I had warned them ahead of time that I’m strict on modesty and that if they came w/ short dresses or w/ revealing tops that I would either make them put on a jacket, or send them home. I hoped that by making my stance known ahead of time that I wouldn’t have any issues the night of the prom. It worked!
