General Conference Sunday

We got up this morning to have breakfast & Mimi fixed Autumn’s hair so pretty.  Dad took my battery to be tested and it was in fact dead, so he had to buy a new one.  Then he came home & installed it for me.  He’s the greatest ever!!!

Autumn & I went over to the Dakins at 10:00 to have breakfast before the morning session of conference.  Deb had made muffins & we brought orange juice and some pumpkin treats.

The kids did so good for the 1st hour of watching conference.  By the 2nd hour, they were getting pretty restless so we let them go play so we could actually listen & enjoy conference.

After the 1st session, we went over to Mom & Dad’s so I could help Mom get some food ready to take to a family in her ward who’s Dad/husband is in the hospital.  Mom had an extra roast, so we just made 2 pans of roast, carrots, potatoes & gravy.  Then she & Maggie took the food down to the hospital in downtown Dallas since the whole family was gathered there.  I watched Downton Abbey until I realized conference was back on.

I have to admit that I fell asleep for about 20 minutes during the 2nd session.  Autumn must have been exhausted b/c she slept for about 4 hours!  She looks so big & tall in this pic, and that’s b/c she IS!!!  Once conference was over, Mom & I watched Downton Abbey.  Then when Autumn woke up we watched Once Upon A Time & then came home and got ready for the week.  It’s been a great weekend full of lots of spiritual (and physical) feasting.
