Tonight after work, I stopped and grabbed some Wendy’s for dinner and then went straight to the temple. It was our ward’s youth temple baptisms night. Sis. Lee & I got to help the girls, and even though it’s not a glamorous thing (squeeging the floors in the bathrooms) I was so thankful to be there and serve the young women as they served in the temple. A few of the names that were read were Slovakian names, so not quite Slovene but pretty close. That made me happy to hear those names being pronounced. We have such an AMAZING group of youth!
One thing that Bishop said to the youth before we left was that they had just been baptized for over 200 people, which would be like another ward! I had never thought of it like that before…how cool!
Only one girl needed a ride home, b/c all the others had rides, so I told her we would stop and get milkshakes, my treat. We went to the Chick Fil A drive through and they were just changing out the milk in the machines, so they asked us to go park in the parking lot and they would bring them to us in a minute. Ashley & I got to talking and it seemed like the shakes were talking a long time. 20 minutes later, and they STILL hadn’t come. We finally went inside to see what the heck was going on (and see if we could get some free fries or something for having to wait so long). Nope, they just handed us our shakes and told us to have a good night. I should have said something and asked for a manager, but I had causing a fuss so we just let it got and left. I dropped Ashley off at home and then went home so Mom could leave. She’s so great to pick up Autumn for me and watch her and put her to bed when I have things like this. I’m so blessed!!!
