Frozen Sing-A-Long & Downton Abbey Season 4 DVD’s

I had seen on Facebook that Disney was going to release a Frozen Sing-A-Long in theaters b/c the music has been so popular.  I told Autumn about it & she worked hard to be good at school this week so she could earn enough points to go see it.  I texted a lady I visit teach to see if she & her granddaughter (who is Autumn’s age) wanted to go see it w/ us.  She texted back that they did, so we met up at the theater.  It was awesome to be in a theater full of girls (and a few boys) who knew all the words, and we all sang along.  Everyone in the theater would laugh after each song, b/c it was so fun.  It felt like we were being naughty or getting away w/ something, b/c usually you have to be quiet in the theater.  I kept looking over at Autumn who was just singing her heart out.  It made me so happy.

However, I don’t want anyone to think that our lives are always happy & full of flowers.  After the movie, I told Autumn to get her coat on so we could leave.  She had brought 2 coats for some reason & threw the 2nd coat at me and said, “No, YOU hold it!”  OH NO SHE DIDN’T!!!  I told her that her behavior was completely unacceptable & that she needed to hold her own things b/c my arms were full w/ my purse & the drink cup & bucket from the popcorn.  She had a minor meltdown right then and there.  I just walked away b/c I wasn’t putting up w/ it.  We said goodbye to Donna & Abbey, and as we were walking to the car she asked me to stop and apologized for being yucky and asked if I would take her picture by the movie poster.  In the car on the drive home we had a good chat about how throwing fits doesn’t help anything and that she needs to just talk and explain what is going on instead of flying off the handle.

It was past her bedtime when we got home, so I put her straight to bed.  Then, I jumped up and down and squealed for joy when Nick got home from work & brought in the mail.  My Downton Abbey Season 4 DVD’s were in the mail!!!  We watched the last 2 episodes, and finally called it a night at 1:30 am!!!  I never get tired of watching this show.  I watched it live in September when they were showing it in the UK, then I’ve watched it again on PBS, and now I can watch them whenever I want on DVD.  I’m so excited for Season 5 in the fall.
