The kids woke up at 6:30, so we all went downstairs and watched cartoons and had breakfast. Then they wanted to get dressed and go outside to play. They played w/ 2 remote control cars and ran up and down the sidewalk.
They were getting bored of doing that, so we got coats on and went to the local park so they could really run and play. We were there for about an hour, and I just love this picture of them taking a break to catch their breaths.
We walked over to the pond, chased some seagulls, and took a little break on the bench. By this time it was 11:00 and everyone was getting hungry since we ate breakfast so early.
We went to McDonald’s to eat lunch and kill some time. The kids played games on the table computer & then would run and play and then come back to the table. We left at noon to go home and put Lucy down for a nap. The kids decided to have a dance party instead of watching TV. The Dakins got back at 1:00 and said they had a great time. I’m so glad they were able to go and relax and be together.
Autumn & I left and ran some errands and then went over to Mom & Dad’s house. We relaxed and watched some TV, and then Mom & I made Autumn’s birthday dinner. She requested in this order: broccoli, grilled cheese sandwiches, and tater tots w/ pink sauce. What an easy meal to make!
After dinner, it was time to open presents. Can you say S to the POILED?
When Autumn opened this doll from Mom & Dad, I felt like I had seen this doll before. That’s b/c I HAD! Mom said they bought 3 of these dolls b/c they were on super low clearance. They gave when to her when she was just a baby, but she trashed it b/c she was just little. So, they’re giving her this 2nd one now that she’s older and can appreciate it and take care of it. Then they’ll save the 3rd one for when she’s way older. LOL. It was stinky from being in a box in the top of the closet for all these year, so we sprayed her w/ Febreeze.
Autumn got a lot of new clothes, shoes, a new Barbie, and a bag full of fun artsy craftsy stuff.
She wanted me to take a picture of all her money that Great Grandma Ruth gave her. She said she’s rich now! So cute. I love it that Rufio remembers to send birthday cards to all her son-in-laws, grandkids, and great grandkids. It was fun having a family party to celebrate our Autumn Girl. It’s so hard to believe that 7 years have already passed!
