Olivia Clara Johnson was born this morning at 11:10 am and was 7 lb 10 oz and 20.5 inches long.
Poor Riannon was in labor for 35 hours, and they finally had to take Baby Olivia via C-section. But she was a trooper & did GREAT! This picture makes me teary-eyed for so many good reasons.
We are so thrilled for Nate & Riannon to be first time parents and that Mom & baby are doing great. When Nate texted Mom & Dad this morning, he said that he cried more than Olivia. So tender! We’re so excited to have another new member join our family, especially on Super Bowl Sunday & Groundhog’s Day.
Church was really uplifting today … it always is when I go w/ the right attitude and am open to the Spirit and try to listen and learn. We came home, changed clothes, and went over to Mom & Dad’s to start getting ready for the Super Bowl party. Autumn helped me make our favorite spinach dip, and she did a great job.
Here is our super yummy spread of Super Bowl snacks. That’s half the fun of having a Super Bowl party!
Kelsey & Landon brought this big bowl of Skittles in honor of Marshawn Lynch.
Dad had on his Broncos hat, and Landon had on his Seahawks gear. It was fun having people cheering for both teams, b/c it made the game more exciting.
However, the game sadly turned into a one-sided thing b/c the Seahawks just blew the Broncos away. Autumn was wearing a Seahawks shirt that Landon had brought for her to wear. At the start of the 4th quarter, Dad told her he needed her help w/ something. They disappeared for a few seconds and all of a sudden Dad came strutting into the living room wearing this Seahawks shirt. He started cheering for them (he had been cheering for the Broncos the whole game), and we all noticed his shirt and that Autumn’s was missing. We all got a really good laugh out of the fact that he stole her shirt so he could cheer for the winning team.
Landon was so happy that the Seahawks won. It was just a fun evening together w/ fun friends and good food, which is always a recipe for a good & memorable time.
When Autumn & I got home, there were these ADORABLE Groundhog Day cupcakes sitting on our front porch. I have no idea who they are from, but hopefully they read this blog and know that it was GREATLY appreciated.
