Tonight Mom had the Achievement Day girls over again, and they were talking about The Family: A Proclamation To The World. Mom had them underline things that pertain to them right now. Then they decorated the frames w/ this bling that they just glued on to the outside of the frame. Mom even had healthy snacks for them like carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers and a yummy low fat dip.
I scarfed down some dinner and headed to Young Women’s. Each of the girls took one of these plates that have a Young Women’s value on them. We used these plates for the last 2 years as part of our display each month when we talked about that value, and it was time to retire the plates. They picked a woman in the ward that exemplified that value and wrote them a note. Then we made up some goodie bags w/ brownies & cookies, and we went around and delivered them. It was a great activity and I’m thankful for these lovely Laurels that I get to serve with.
