YW/RS FH Night

It always makes me laugh that we have so many “Mormon” phrases & abbreviations that don’t make sense unless you’re a Mormon.  For example, the title of this blog is Young Women’s/Relief Society Family History Night.  Usually we have YW activities on Wednesday nights, but we combined w/ the Relief Society sisters tonight b/c they were doing a Family History class.  A lot of people brought laptops and iPads and we logged onto FamilySearch.org & Puzzilla.org.  It was so cool to see how advanced the technology is now, and how much easier it is to do Family History.  I also like that you can add pictures and stories to a relative’s profile so it’s not just a name.

For refreshments they had a caramel apple bar.  There were sliced up apples (which you can soak in 7 Up to keep them from going brown), a super yummy caramel sauce in a crock pot, and then all sorts of fun toppings.  It was a great evening!
