Mom & Dad Got Their Mission Call!!!!!!

IMG_2949 Autumn had cheer practice this morning, so I went and dropped her off and then came home.  The sister missionaries were supposed to come over, but one of them got sick so they had to rschld.  I stopped by the $1 store to get some balloons for some birthdays today.  I went and dropped one off w/ some treats to a lady that I visit teach, and then I went to Autumn’s game at 12:30.  I thought this pic of them all sitting on the sideline during half time while the other cheerleaders did their cheer was so cute.

IMG_2954 There was one point in the game where the coaches and football players were down in the middle of the cheerleaders b/c our team and the ball and was about to score a touch down.

IMG_2959 Our girls did a great job, and us parents were actually really happy that we didn’t win the football game.  Today was the playoffs and if we had won, we would have had to play in the Super Bowl next week.  But, since we lost we get a next Saturday off.  WOO HOO!

IMG_2970 As soon as the game was over, we went to Liz & Liberty’s to celebrate Jacob’s birthday.  He turned 3 earlier this week and Liz had a little party for him.  This picture is so sweet!

IMG_2968 Liz went to a lot of work and put together a really nice spread.  Autumn & I ate, gave Jacob his present and then had to leave for my nail appointment at 3:00.

IMG_5028 Once I got to the nail place, I got a text from Riannon saying that Mom & Dad’s mission call came in the mail!!!!!!  Mom & Dad were just about to get on the cruise ship and be out of touch for a week so Mom told Riannon to open it.  They are serving as temple missionaries in the Johannesburg South Africa temple for 18 months!!!!!!!!!!!  They will leave in March of 2015.  Don’t worry … my Mom got her own letter too, but I just snapped a picture of Dad’s letter.  We are so super excited for them, but it will be a HUGE adjustment for Autumn & I.

IMG_5026The nail place was really slow while Autumn & I were there, so they waxed her eyebrows and even did her nails for free.  Autumn thought she had died and gone to heaven, b/c she got to sit in the massage chair while her nails dried.  I told her not to get used to all this pampering and being spoiled.  We ran next door after to check out the kid’s consignment shop to get some shoes for Baby Olivia.  We went to Mom & Dad’s house and had dinner w/ Nate & Riannon.  Autumn was so tired from such a full day so we just laid hung out and relaxed for the rest of the evening.

Awesome about the mission call! My in-laws served in the Johannesburg South Africa mission for 18 months also. They lived in some apartments right by the temple. They served in the welfare department--working on water, wheelchairs, and such. They loved it! I am sure your parents will too and you will be blessed by their service!
