Veteran’s Day Assembly

Today at Autumn’s school they had their Veteran’s Day Assembly.  Usually Dad goes, but he & Mom are on a cruise w/ all of his siblings, their spouses, and Grandpa Johnson.  So, Nate & Riannon went in his place since they are both Veterans.  I know this picture is blurry, but it’s the only one they took.  They said the assembly was nice and then there were some light refreshments after that, and then they got to go to Autumn’s class where the kids asked them questions about serving in the military.

Both of my bosses are out of town today, and it was really slow at work so I left an hour early.  That gave me a chance to go pick up Autumn & get her to cheer practice by 5:00.  They were practicing at a local gym that has padded floors like the ones they will be performing on for their cheer competition next weekend.  It was AMAZING to sit and watch the gymnasts doing flips and tricks while we waited for the other cheerleaders to get there.  It was a good one hour practice, and I’m hoping it will help the girls at their cheer competition.

This group of girls is so cute, and I’m a little bit sad that the season will be over soon.  But, then I remember how nice it will be to have our Thursday evenings & Saturdays back since we won’t have cheer practice or games.  This has been a good thing for Autumn to be involved in.  After practice we went over to Mom & Dad’s to have dinner w/ Nate & Riannon.
