Today Autumn was so pleasant when it was time to get up. She got up, got dressed, and even had time to make lunch for herself (she usually just buys the school lunch). After school we came home instead of going over to Mom & Dad’s b/c they were gone to dinner w/ friends. Plus, we needed to work on her Flat Stanley assignment that is due tomorrow. We didn’t even know about it until today b/c she missed half of school on Thursday & all of Friday. We had taco salad for dinner, and then got to work. We decided to make him an Indian.
Our favorite parts are the fringe under his arms. I think he looks great & it was a good team effort. Autumn did most of it w/ just a little help & guidance from me.
After we finished Flat Stanley, we even had time to read in the Book of Mormon together. It was so cute to see Autumn reading out of her own little set of scriptures. We haven’t read the scriptures in a LONG TIME, so this was a great thing. Autumn even said, “we need to do this more often, Mom.” It was nice to read a few verses and then stop and talk about what we had just read. We had a good discussion about it.
We had 30 minutes before bed time, and Autumn chose to organize our craft cart that we keep near the table. She went to bed at 8:00, I cleaned up the kitchen, did 2 loads of laundry, and cleaned my room. It was such a nice, relaxing, and productive evening together. It was just what the doctor ordered after the weekend we had.

Wow! You have been through a week with the vacation, sickness and baptism!!! Bless your heart! So sorry Autumn got sick in the middle of all of that. Glad her baptism went well! Her dress is so beautiful! Keep up the scripture reading! Hope no more sickness hits your house!
