I planned ahead this morning b/c I knew we’d be in a rush for dinner tonight, and I threw together some creamy crockpot Italian chicken. We got home and cooked up some noodles and did a side of asparagus and then it was time to leave for Young Women’s. As we were walking out the door I had to stop and get a picture of Autumn. Why does she look like she’s 14 all of a sudden??? She’s such a cute little love bug (most of the time).
For our activity tonight we talked about General Conference. I put together a little slideshow at work yesterday w/ cute quotes and things I had pinned to my General Conference Pinterest board. We talked about the history of General Conference, why it’s important, and what we can do to get the most out of it. Then we decorated some composition notebooks I got on clearance (25 cents) at WalMart.
I told the girls if they watch all 4 sessions of conference plus the Women’s Conference meeting that it could count for a 10 hour value project. They would need to take notes and then write up their feelings about it after. I think it’s a great and easy 10 hour project for them, and I hope they’ll do it. After YW Autumn & I took Ashley to Sonic to get a half price shake, b/c Ashley took my Atonement challenge last week and texted me something every day about how the Atonement helped her. I’m so proud of her and the other 2 girls and 1 leader that did the challenge. I hope they felt a difference in their lives that week, b/c I know I did. It was a pure honor and pleasure to read the ways the Atonement influenced their life each day for a week.

We did the same thing for our YW this week! Great minds think alike. It is an easy project!
