There Is Peace Inside

I had great plans to get up this morning and go get the oil changed in my car, but that never happened. Instead, we made pancakes w/ strawberries for breakfast and then I got the cleaning bug. I swept, vacuumed, and mopped all the tile and wood floors in the kitchen, halls, and formal dining room! It hadn’t been done in a LONG time, and it felt so good to get that done. I also got laundry put away, helped Autumn clean her room, and cleaned my bathroom.

Nate & Riannon came over at 4:00 to pick up Autumn so I could go to the temple w/ my ward (congregation) at 5:00. I find such peace inside the temple, and am thankful to live so close (40 minute drive) to one. I find it so comforting to attend the temple w/ people from my ward b/c it helps to remind me that I’m not alone and that I am surrounded by good people who are striving to live to the best of their abilities, just like I am. Also, as I was walking into the temple someone said, “Is that you, Lisa Marie?” It was the parents of one of my friends from high school! It was so fun to run into Bro. & Sis. Jones, who I haven’t seen in about 15 years. They haven’t aged at all and it was great to catch up with them for a minute.

As soon as the session was over I came home b/c I was going to watch Olivia so Nate & Riannon could go out on a date. But they had met up w/ some friends and had taken Autumn & Olivia w/ them and had gone to the park and were out to dinner. So, I enjoyed having a quiet and clean house all to myself for about 40 minutes.
