Happy Birthday Nate & A “Dive In” Mommy/Daughter Date

IMG_7135Today is Nate’s birthday (and Autumn’s brother Bubzy’s birthday too). Riannon had us all come over for breakfast to celebrate. We’re singing to him and he’s got Mom & Dad on Facetime on the phone.

IMG_7139 For breakfast she made him funfetti pancakes w/ frosting & bacon on the side. He was so happy.

IMG_7145 Riannon had some fun surprises planned for Nate like going to get massages, going out to lunch, and getting pedicures. So, we watched Olivia for them while they were gone. These 2 sunbathing babes were just soaking up some rays. They have NO IDEA how good they have it!

IMG_7152 Olivia LOVES being outside, so we went for a walk after she got up from her afternoon nap. She wasn’t a fan of riding in the stroller, and preferred to be OUT of the stroller. She wanted to push it, so she held onto this little bar at the bottom of the stroller while Autumn slowly pushed. It took a LONG time to walk around the neighborhood this way, but we had fun.

IMG_7155 When Nate & Riannon got back around 3:00 we came home and both took a little nap. We both commented on how tiring it can be to have a small baby/toddler around. I told Autumn to get her swimsuit on, b/c we were going on a special Mommy/Daughter date. She was so confused as to why she would need her swimsuit. We went to our local natatorium where they had a “DIVE-IN movie.” So cute, huh? We swam and played in the lazy river and had fun before the movie started.

IMG_7160 They showed Big Hero 6 on this massive blow up screen. They also had food your could purchase so we got a hot dog, chips, and a drink for just $3 each. It was SO MUCH FUN! We just floated around in the big pool while watching the movie.

IMG_7162Autumn finally got brave towards the end of the night and decided to give the water slide a try. She loved it so much that she would get off and go right back on. She probably went down it at least 18 times. It was 9:30 before we left! I’m glad we got a little nap this afternoon. We both agreed that this “Dive-In Movie” was one of our favorite Mommy/Daughter dates.
