Showcase Saturday

I didn’t go to the temple this morning b/c it’s closed for cleaning. One of my YW called at 8:30 to see if I could pick her up at 9:00 and take her to a job. I was THRILLED that she would call & ask. I got up and got dressed, picked her up, and took her to her job. Then I came home, made breakfast for Autumn, Nick, & I, and then went and picked her up at 11:00 and dropped her off at the high school for her flag core practice.

Autumn & I were actually pretty lazy today. We got a few things done around the house, but we weren’t super productive and didn’t do any deep cleaning. I really need to tackle cleaning out the “scary office” on a Saturday. At 5:00 we left go eat dinner at Chipotle (we have a gift card). We always split the barbacoa bowl. Her face cracks me up, b/c she was showing me what her sassy/attitude face looks like.

After we ate we went over to Hobby Lobby to see check out their bandana selection for YW camp stuff. They didn’t have what we were looking for, but we had to stop and snap a pic next to some cute Indian decorations since Autumn says, “those are my peeps!”

Then we went over to the High School to see their dancing team & flag core’s showcase. There were some numbers I LOVED and some numbers I was not impressed with at all. But, I’m glad Autumn & I went and that she’s getting good exposure to the arts. Plus, we know a bunch of girls from church that are in the dancing & flag core groups so it was good to support them and cheer them on.

We went to get frozen yogurt after the show w/ Melanie & the Deckers. Kylie did a good job and we’re so proud of her. It was so fun to sit and talk and laugh and discuss the show together. We didn’t get home until 10:30 and both went straight to bed!!!
