Stressful News & A Date With Mary

I got some news today that just increased my stress levels by 10 fold. My girls camp director just found out that she's got some health issues that are going to keep her from going to camp (which is in just over a week)!!! So, I now get to be in charge of gathering all the STUFF we will need for 25 girls plus 5 leaders. We will need tents, tarps, cooking stoves, battery powered fans, all the pots and pans and cooking utensils to cook for 30 people, etc. Then once I have all of that gathered, I need to figure out a way to get all that stuff to the campsite, which is 2 1/2 hours away. I have NO IDEA how to pack a trailer so all the stuff won't come flying off as we drive down the highway.

I know it will all work out and come together in the end, but for right now I'm just needing to vent and freak out a little bit!!!

There's nothing like great friends to help take your mind off your troubles. I was cooking dinner when Curt called to say Mary wanted to go see "Far From The Madding Crowd" (a chick flick) and he really didn't want to go. So, he called to see if I would go w/ her (he wanted to stay home and watch a hockey game). I have already seen the movie, but loved it so much that I said I would for sure go again. He said he could watch Autumn for me.

So, I hurried and finished cooking dinner, took it over to their house, we scarfed down some food, and Mary and I went to the movies. She really liked it, and it was just as good the 2nd time for me. When we got out of the theater, we decided to text the other girls and see if they wanted to meet up and see Pitch Perfect 2. We had heard from some other friends that it was really funny. Karri was the only one who could meet up w/ us for the 10:30 show. I was shocked and appalled at how crass and crude some of the humor was. It surprised me that there were quite a few families there w/ "tweenage" kids!!! YIKES! It's a movie that I most definitely will NOT be seeing again, will NOT be buying when it comes out on DVD, and will NOT be recommending to anyone.

I'm so thankful for great friends that I can vent to and release some of my stress with. Mary and I joked on the way home about what a great date it was. LOL! Now if I could just find a nice GUY to go on a REAL date with.
