Sisters, Swimming, & Swag

P1120983 We had a full day today. I was going to get up and go to the temple but I must have turned my alarm off instead of just hitting snooze b/c I woke up and it was time to get ready to go to a baptism. It was for a family that met the missionaries while they were living in our ward boundaries, but they moved a few weeks ago into another ward’s boundaries. I was so happy for them, and especially Michelle b/c she is a Beehive and we got to know her well in Young Women’s and at Girls Camp.

After the baptism, Autumn & I decided to brave the crowds at Costco b/c we had to get a few things. We shared a hot dog, drink, and churro before we started shopping b/c we were hungry and it’s dangerous to shop at Costco on an empty stomach. We got what we needed and also grabbed a pepperoni pizza and stopped at the Lee’s house to pick up their kids.

We were pulling in the driveway & the Sister missionaries were just walking up to our door. They had decided to stop by in the hopes that we were home since Sis. Cooper (on the left) will most likely be transferred this week. They stayed for about an hour. We had to get a picture of them w/ Autumn b/c Autumn was still in what she calls her “missionary outfit.”

IMG_8216 As soon as they left we started our party w/ the Lee kids. They have been wanting to see Teen Beach Movie 2, but don’t have the Disney channel at home so I arranged it for them to come over and watch it at our house. Plus, it was a way to thank the Lee’s for always watching Autumn when I have to go to ward council meetings on Sundays. I told the parents to go out on a hot date while the kids were gone. We had a pizza picnic and enjoyed watching the movie.

After the movie we went over to Mom & Dad’s house to swim for a while. The kids had a blast and enjoyed being in the pool. While we were there Nate & Riannon pointed out 3 really big zipper spiders that had built webs between the bushes. I am not a fan of spiders at all, but it’s actually really cool to watch the zipper spiders (from a distance).

IMG_8220 We took the Lee’s home at 6:00 and then came home and vegged. I bought this on Amazon.com the other day since I had signed up for a free 30 day trial of Amazon Prime. YAY for 2 day shipping b/c this classic came in the mail today and was only $11. I had to introduce Autumn to this classic (and LONG) version of Pride & Prejudice.

IMG_8226 She asked if we could make smoothies during a break in the movie, so we got out the blender and made smoothies that would have made Papa proud. We were in a FANCY mood b/c of watching Pride & Prejudice so we got out the fancy glasses and we put on our fancy hats and spoke w/ British accents. It was so much fun, and a great way to end a great day!
