For activity days today the girls decorated these plates for Thanksgiving. We’ll take them home and bake them to seal in the artwork, and then they can be used to eat on.
For our YW activity tonight I took the Laurels shopping at the $1 store. We’re in charge of the big combined service activity in December and we usually do the R.A.C.K. activity. But, that’s just too much for me to take on by myself right now. Plus, I want to do something where the youth get to see interact more w/ the people they are serving. So, we will be going to a nursing home. We went and bought little gifts for the residents along w/ some crafts and fun things we can do w/ them if they don’t want to participate in the sing along carols.
I hope the youth will enjoy it and really put the effort in to make it a great evening for the residents. It’s like anything we do in life … we can only get out of it what we put into it.
