Today when I was picking Autumn up from daycare, Nate & Riannon were there at the same time to pick up Olivia. Nate had something hiding in his coat and it ended up being this adorable, tiny, Brindle colored chihuahua. He was getting the truck looked over at the mechanics and this dog was lost and was wandering the streets. She didn't have a tag on her collar so he took her to the animal shelter to see if she had a chip. She didn't, so he followed the right protocol to report a missing dog. But until the owners claim her, he wanted to take care of her. Olivia wasn't too sure what to think about the dog at first.
Nate & Riannon invited us over for some zuppa toscana soup. In between helping Riannon make dinner I would go over and love on the dog. We couldn't decide on a name for her and started out with Tiny, then Toodles, then Tiger. Autumn was in 7th heaven b/c she wants a dog so bad. I would love to have a small dog like this, but we're gone all day and that wouldn't be fair to the dog.
I'm pretty sure someone will claim her b/c she was so good natured around Autumn & Olivia and never nipped at them once. Plus, she knew right what to do when we took her outside to go potty. We're all kind of hoping the owners don't claim her so we can keep her b/c she's so stinkin' cute. We had fun spending the evening with family and getting to play w/ the dog.
UPDATE: The owners called the next day so we had to give her back. :(
