Baby Clothes For South Africa

Today in YW I got to teach all the YW combined about The Plan of Salvation. We watched this great video, and then we did a little overview about what the plan of salvation is (especially since we have a new YW that was baptized not too long ago). Then we split into 3 groups and one group studied about premortal life (where did we live before we came here), one studied about Earth life (why are we here), and one group studied about postmortal life (where do we go after we die). After each group had 10 -15 minutes to study and talk about what they found we came back together and each group had a spokesperson come up and share some insights their group had gained.

After church I had planned on taking a nap b/c I was so tired, but all of a sudden our empty afternoon filled up. A lady in our ward called and said she had A LOT of extra baby clothes left over from several garage sales she had had. We took a suitcase and she had her kids help us roll up the clothes and FILL the suitcase w/ clothes for Autumn & I to take with us to South Africa. It was great that she included her kids so they could learn about service even at a such a young age.

Nate & Riannon called and invited us over for dinner. Olivia had found a purple marker and had given herself a beard! LOL. She likes to brush Riannon's hair, just like Autumn used to do to Mimi when Autumn was that age. We kept all of Autumn's clothes, which is great b/c now Olivia can wear them, and this used to be one of Autumn's shirts. It's hard to remember Autumn ever being this little, which is why I'm so thankful for pictures and that I've been an avid blogger.

We had a DELICIOUS dinner of roast, carrots, and potatoes. I was laughing at this pic, b/c it looks like Nick has a plant growing out of the back of his head. It was great to spend the evening w/ them since we'll be gone for a few weeks and won't see them. I know I say this a lot, but it really is such a huge blessing to have family so close!
