Spring has sprung in North Texas. There are "popcorn" trees all over, and they are so pretty!
I also love the vibrant purple blossoms on these trees that I passed. This picture doesn't do them justice, b/c they were bright purple.
We had Liz & Jacob over for dinner tonight (Liberty was working). We had creamy crockpot chicken, salad, and garlic bread. I haven't seen Liz in a while and we had a lot to catch up on. Her Grandpa passed away while we were gone to South Africa and I wanted to hear about his funeral and how she's feeling about the whole thing. She wanted to hear about our South African adventures.
After dinner we just sat and talked for a long time while the kids played. Liz is due this month and was feeling like her feet and ankles were swollen. Autumn offered to rub her feet and Liz was telling her to push the fluids back UP. I'm very thankful for our friendship and that we can be our true selves around each other w/ no pretenses. Friendship like that is a rare and precious gift. We can't wait to meet the new baby!
