3-2-1 Cake Treat Bags

I got to leave work early today to take Autumn to Activity Days. We also stopped & picked up Jessica to give her a ride. While Autumn was busy I went out to the car, rolled down the windows, laid back the seat, and took a 45 minute nap. It was GLORIOUS and was just what I needed. For their activity they played a Jeopardy type game about General Conference. I'm so thankful for her leaders and all that they do for these girls!

We were dropping Jessica off when Shannon came out and offered for us to come in and eat dinner. A neighbor of theirs had brought over A LOT of leftovers from a work lunch from On The Border. I didn't have anything planned for dinner so we gladly accepted. It was so wonderful to sit and talk with Shannon after we ate and the girls went outside to jump on the trampoline. Shannon is a "soul changer" and I don't know what I did to deserve her friendship, but I am so thankful for her!

Autumn wanted to stay and play while I went to Young Women's and Shannon said she was more than welcome. I hurried home, got the stuff we needed for YW tonight, went and picked up Ashlyn, and we went to the church. The Laurels tonight made 3-2-1 Cake treat bags for less active YW and for the brand new Beehives that just moved up to YW this week. We were THRILLED that Freda came this week! She's so much fun and we just LOVE her!

3-2-1 Cake is super easy to make and Autumn & I have had it several times over the past few weeks. You just take 1 box of angel food cake mix and one box of whatever flavor of cake mix you want (we used chocolate tonight). You mix the 2 dry cake mixes together and store them in an airtight container (we put them in little decorative baggies tonight w/ a note attached on how to make the 3-2-1 cake). Then when you're ready to make the cake you put 3 TBS of the dry mix and 2 TBS of water (or milk) in a microwave safe mug. You mix that together and then microwave it for 1 minute. It's not the most decadent cake ever, but it's perfect for a late night snack when you want a treat but don't want to make a whole cake. You can eat it plain or top it w/ ice cream, fudge sauce, caramel sauce, whipped cream, or whatever you want.

Love the 3-2-1 cake idea and recipe! Might steal it and have my YW do it. Thanks!
