Happy 10th Birthday, Autumn Girl!!!

Mom & Dad happened to be in my neck of the woods today to get shots for their next mission to South Africa. Since they were close by, they took me out to lunch. We went to a really good Greek restaurant. It was fun to be treated on my BIRTH day (the day I gave birth). We talked about what this day was like ten years ago!

After work/school, we went over to Papa & Mimi's house for Autumn's special birthday dinner. Mom & Savi had decorated for her birthday to make her feel special. She had asked that no one come to school to eat lunch w/ her, b/c it makes her feel really sad when we leave and she can't go with us. Poor thing!!! But, I did send a bunch of heart shaped Debbie snack cakes w/ her so they could celebrate her birthday in class. I don't like it that us parents can't go and celebrate with our child in their classroom towards the end of the school day.

For her special birthday dinner Autumn requested tilapia w/ tartar sauce, Oriental rice, corn on the cob, and Red Lobster cheddar biscuits. It was a lot of carbs, but was worth every calorie!

After we were all STUFFED from dinner, it was time to open presents. She LOVES Legos right now, so she got the Belle castle. She also LOVES gum so she got this huge box of gum (from Costco). I also got her tickets to go see 2 plays in the next few weeks.

For dessert she requested "manly jello." This was the most manly jello I've ever seen b/c it was so full of mandarin oranges. There were some that weren't even sitting down in the jello b/c there were so many!!!

Mom had gotten an apple pie at Costco (they're HUGE & just $10) so we also had that w/ ice cream. It was surreal to sing to her for her TENTH birthday! She was just turning 5 a couple of months ago.

After dinner we went over to Nate & Riannon's so we could meet their new puppy. Autumn looks like she's sad here, but she was in a state of total zen & relaxation. She is such a sweet & snuggly puppy. Autumn wants a dog so badly!

Spencer & Olivia crack me up in their separate cars. So stinkin' cute! We came home & Autumn got to work on her Belle castle. Her Dad & Nicole & siblings Facetimed to wish her a happy birthday, which was really nice and made her feel loved.

It's hard to wrap my brain around the fact that 10 (yes, TEN!!!) years ago today, my world changed forever in the best possible way. ♪ ♫ Happy birthday to my Autumn Girl. ♪ ♫ Thank you for being my GREATEST BLESSING for a whole entire decade.
