Date Night With Frank & Papa's Home!!!

 So, Mom called yesterday to say that Dad has to escort a missionary home to the States due to some medical issues. It was a last minute thing, and she wanted to know if I could pick him up at the airport tonight. OF COURSE!!! Not only that, he gets to stay for 2 days!!! YAY! I called Savi to let her know that I would take care of all the food, so she didn't need to worry about it. She asked if I could do her a favor, and I said sure. She said she needed a ride to the doctor's office in one hour. SAY WHAT!?!?! Luckily I have AWESOME bosses, so I was able to leave work at 2:30 to get Savi to her appointment in time. I sat in the lobby & watched part of Brigadoon (weird musical that I had never seen before) while waiting for her.

 Then I dropped her back off at home, went and got Autumn, and we went & got the car washed. It was FILTHY, and we LOVE this place b/c they wash the whole inside and outside for just $20!

 When we got home, we were greeted by 2 sweaty & hard working guys. I'm so thankful for these men in our lives! Frank & I had plans to go out on a date & we ended up going to Chipotle (b/c I wanted to try their new queso) and we talked for a long time. It was nice to just be one on one for a while & talk through some things that have been on our minds. I'm thankful that we're both very open & understanding & comfortable w/ each other. That makes communicating so much easier. I'm thankful for Frank!

 I was going to go to the airport alone, b/c he didn't get in until past 11:00, but Autumn insisted on going w/ me. It was nice having her there since his plane was delayed a little bit.

 I had some left over Chipotle & took that for him to eat. It's a good thing I did, b/c he was so hungry. We took this picture to send it to Mimi to rub it in that Dad was eating good food without her. We're so mean! I was telling her that it's too bad she couldn't come w/ him. She said if she had come home, she wouldn't have gone back to South Africa, so it's good she had to stay there. LOL!

 Everyone in the family but Nate knew that Dad was coming home. So, I called Nate when we were getting close & told him I needed to talk to him. He didn't believe me & knew that something was up. But, he had NO IDEA that it was b/c Dad was home. He came walking up to my car w/ his police flashlight out. It was AWESOME to see his reaction when he looked over into the passenger seat & realized it was Dad. He was beyond surprised to say the least. SO FUN!

We finally dropped Dad off at home around 12:30 and he went straight to sleep b/c he was beyond exhausted. We're so happy that we get some unexpected time w/ him!!!
