First Outings

Autumn & I are having a blast dressing Alisa in new outfits every morning. This one that says "little sister" is too cute. Frank posted this on Facebook & my Mom said that she looks like she's 4 months old instead of 2 days old. I think it's b/c she's just laying on the bed & there's nothing next to her to compare how little she is.

We had to go back to the hospital this morning to have her bilirubin/jaundice levels checked. Our pediatrician said he likes for babies to stay at the hospital for 48 hours, but we didn't know that yesterday when we had already decided to go home. He said we could still leave as long as we came back in this morning. Everything checked out just fine and she doesn't have any jaundice.

Spencer had a basketball game today, and they lost again. They haven't won a single game all season, but he's had a lot of fun playing. They've definitely improved & started gelling better together as a team.

We went & had our usual Braum's burger after the game to celebrate & bond. It was Baby Alisa's first time. It's crazy to think that one week ago she was in my belly & now she's here in the flesh in her car seat!

Sis. G from church stopped by to say hi & love on Baby Alisa. She's so wonderful & has always had a special bond w/ Autumn. She brings Autumn cute beaded bracelets that she makes, or she'll give Autumn little gifts from her many world travels.

Notice how blue Baby Alisa's feet are. I asked the doctor's about it and they said it's fine and totally normal and will go away eventually.

Bonnie is my new "ministering sister" so she came by to love on the baby and also brought us dinner.

She brought us pulled pork sandwiches, homemade fry bread (by Kendra ... my other ministering sister), corn bean salsa, and then popsicles for dessert. It was all so delicious and totally hit the spot.

Autumn has already been a huge angel girl helper. She wants to hold & love on Alisa all the time. I was even able to go and take a quick & much needed nap while Autumn snuggled w/ Alisa on the couch.
