Family Cruise ~ Day 05 & Happy Birthday Olivia

For some reason, I couldn't sleep this morning so I got up and went and watched the sunrise. It was so pretty and it was crazy how fast it would change from one minute to the next.

Olivia turned 6 today, so we met at the fancy dining room for breakfast to celebrate her.

The staff even brought her a special piece of cake and we all sang Happy Birthday to her. The funny part of this picture is Spencer's face. He was NOT happy that the presents & attention were not for him.

Riannon had brought a few presents for her to unwrap and she was so excited and thankful for each one she opened.

She even got a kiss on the cheek from Adam. Autumn & Andrew are being replaced as "kissing cousins" with the younger group!

Riannon had their room decorated super cute for Olivia's birthday.

This is Thomas, the guy that cleaned our rooms. He was the BEST and was so nice. All the kids and adults LOVED him!

When Alisa finally woke up, we went and did some exploring around the ship so she could burn off some energy.

She has NO FEAR and walked right onto this glass-covered hole in the deck where you can look straight down and see the ocean!

Several of the group wanted to go do rock climbing, so we put Alisa in the bottom of Rosalind's stroller and headed up to the 10th deck. LOL!

Olivia was so excited, b/c you have to be 6 to try it and she is 6 today! Autumn even gave it a try. I'm proud of her!

Lexie, Riannon, the little girls, and I all went to get fancy drinks. It's a good thing I didn't get a fancy drink pass and just tried a few sips of Lexie's. I would have consumed thousands of calories on fancy non-alcoholic drinks.

This crew member was SO.MUCH.FUN! He'd walk around wearing this ice cream and yell out, "YOHOO! ICE CREAM!" and if you wanted him to bring you ice cream, you'd yell back, "YOHOO!" I had gotten some fake medals at the $1 store so we started handing them out today to some of the crew members that were particularly awesome. He definitely got one!

Our happy crew for our last night at dinner. It was nice for everyone to be able to go off and do whatever they wanted during the day. But it was also nice to be all together in the evening for dinner. I'm sure going to miss it tomorrow when everyone wants to know what's for dinner and there's no My Fair Lady dining room to go to.

The sunset was STUNNING tonight. We didn't get to see it any other night, b/c we were always headed south. But since we were headed north tonight, we got this view as we ate dinner. WOW!

Dad teased our waitress, Faith, who is from South Africa. He put on these awful red neck teeth and scared her! She was a good sport and just laughed at how crazy he is. She also got a medal from us.

The main dining room coordinator, Sheryl, also got a medal and tiny award cup. She was so good us and made sure we were spoiled.

Autumn was sporting her new shirt that she got at the clearance sale. Riannon said when she was reading blogs on cruise tips that you should wait to buy T-shirts the last day, b/c they put them on clearance to clear them out.

After dinner, we all went to the conference room to hold a quick sacrament meeting. Dad had got special permission from his Bishop to have the sacrament on the boat. Andrew got the bread and water and prepared it. Frank & Spencer blessed it and Nick passed it. There's always something so special and powerful about having the sacrament in a place other than the chapel. I'm glad we got to do that as a family.

Alisa & I went up to the 10th deck to watch part of the Super Bowl on the big screen. That was another fun place to watch it instead of just on TV at home. I'm so glad that Andy Reid & the Chiefs won!

On our way back to the room, we had to stop and give Alisa's favorite live band some medals. I thanked them for being so awesome & sharing their talents so Alisa could dance and have the time of her life. Even though she's too young to remember any of this, I would guess that dancing every night in the centrum was her favorite part of this whole cruise.
