This morning Autumn & I got up and were lazy again and watched movies in our jammies. She wanted to watch Babes In Toyland again, so I put that on for her and worked on my Project Life. Then when her movie was over she wanted to watch another one so I put on The Great Race. Our taped-off-of-TV VHS is so old that the picture was had to see at times, but we watched it anyway. That is such a great film! If you have never seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it! I love the costumes, cinematography, and acting. My favorite part is the pie fight, which you can see HERE. It’s awesome how Tony Curtis walks through the whole fight in a white outfit untouched until the very end. So great!
Anyways, we had to stop the movie in the middle b/c it was 11:30 and time to get ready for church. We went and got cleaned up and dressed and then Mom called to make sure we had turned our clocks back an hour! I had totally forgotten about daylight savings time! I think it’s cruel and unusual punishment to have daylight savings on a fast Sunday! LOL! So, I fixed Autumn some lunch and we turned back all of the clocks and picked up the house a little bit until it was time to go to church.
Autumn has been wanting to wear this dress & jacket for months. Mom got it for like $3 back in the spring at Once Upon A Child. Today was actually cold enough for her to wear it. I wish the jacket wasn’t so washed out in white so you could see that it has the cutest bow design on it in pearls. But, we were running out the door and I didn’t have time to get a better picture. Church was good and for the 3rd hour, they had ALL then women come into Relief Society and the men filled in for us w/ our classes.
We finally got our “Daughters In My Kingdom” book, which I’ve been reading about on other people’s blogs and have been dying to get. It’s a great book w/ wonderful graphics and inspiring words. I can’t wait to delve into it and read it and mark it up and put notes in the margins.
After church, we went to Mom & Dad’s and had left over spaghetti for dinner. Then, the lady whose house we are moving into called and asked if I wanted to buy some furniture from her that she probably wasn’t going to take when she moved. Autumn & I went over to look at the furniture and I am going to buy all of it b/c it’s great furniture that she has taken good care of and it’s a great deal. For example, she is selling me a day bed w/ the trundle bed, all the matching sheets and comforter and pillows that are on the bed and 2 dressers that match for only $250! Can’t beat that!
After we left her house, we came home and made Halloween cookies that Mom got on sale for $1. Autumn likes to turn on the oven light and watch them to make sure they aren’t burning. I love when she’s in the kitchen with me. We watched Once Upon A Time (and switched over to Wizard of Oz during commercials) while snacking on our fresh-from-the-oven cookies. Since it was getting late, I put Autumn to bed and worked on my mission Project Life (MPL). I really need to start posting more pics of it b/c I say I’m working on it all the time but never show what I’ve done.
