HAPPY DECEMBER! Mom gave us this advent calendar (hand carried all the way from Germany) to share together. I have always enjoyed doing these and even bought one while I was on my mission so I could enjoy the tradition of doing this at home w/ my family. This is the BEST advent calendar countdown, though, b/c it has super good German chocolate instead of the usual cheap waxy chocolate. Autumn is super excited to countdown the days and I’m making her share a bite of her chocolate for the day w/ me.
I had Nick run and grab some cheap tacos & burritos from Taco Bell for dinner so we could scarf those down and then go over to the old house to help Mom & Dad clean some more. Mom planned ahead & brought the portable DVD player w/ Land Before Time to keep Autumn occupied. She’s never seen that classic kids movie before, so she enjoyed it and was entertained. Lately she’s been pulling at her eyes when I take a picture, and I have no idea why.
We got some really good deep cleaning done and Dad took out all the caulk in the shower & tub so we can recaulk those after letting them sit & dry out for a day. I cleaned out the whole fridge and even took the shelves and drawers out. Nick wiped out all the cabinets & counters and Mom cleaned the oven, b/c it still needed it even though we’ve both scrubbed it a few times. Autumn said her tooth was hurting her, so I looked and it was loose! I had Dad take a look to see if it was loose enough to pull yet. He said it wasn’t ready quite yet, but showed me where a big tooth was coming in behind that one! I hope she won’t have to get braces. My little girl is growing up TOO FAST!
