My Cup Runneth Over

This morning I got up at 6:00 just like usual and blogged for a little bit and then I hurried and got ready so Rufio & I could leave for the day.  We stopped and got gas and then headed up the canyon to meet up w/ Jason & the kids.  Nicole had arranged to have a photographer there to take pics of all the kids together.  Rufio & I got there a little early, and so did Ashley & Bianca so we got to sit and talk to them for a while which was so fun.  Miss B has gotten so big and grown up since last time I saw her.

IMG_6530 I wish that I was better at expressing myself, b/c this picture just makes me so incredibly emotional.  The only words I can think of to describe what this picture means to me are, “My cup runneth over.”  There are my original 4 “babies” and I consider each and every one of them to be my own kids.  They were such a huge part of my life.  It made my entire soul and being so overwhelmed w/ joy to see these 3 children together w/ my Autumn girl.  They have grown up so much and are such good kids.  I will definitely be blowing up this picture and putting it in both mine & Autumn’s rooms where we can see it every single day.

IMG_6523 I didn’t get a lot of pictures, b/c I wanted to stay out of the professional photographer’s way.  Plus, I was busy making silly faces above the photographer’s head so we could get the kids to look at the camera and smile.  But, I had to snap just a few.  We couldn’t get Khloe in very many pictures b/c she was not in the mood to have her pic taken and just wanted to go play in the sand.  But, hopefully I can get a copy of the professional pics from Jason & Nicole.  This one of the other kids is pretty darn cute.

IMG_6528 Bubzy is this amazing soccer star and plays on all sorts of special leagues.  He’s going to be famous some day and I’ll get to say, “I knew him way back when.”  It was fun to see him running around kicking the ball.  He has some MAJOR talent.  We stayed for about an hour and then Rufio & I needed to leave so we could go do what we had planned and so Autumn could go to the zoo w/ them.

chick's Rufio wanted to keep driving up the canyon b/c she hadn’t been up there in years.  It was such a pretty and scenic drive.  We ended up in Heber and went to lunch at Chick’s.  It’s like a diner from the 50’s.  The food was good, but the best part was their huge scones w/ butter and honey.  YUMMY!

IMG_6532 This picture doesn’t do the potted plants any justice, but they had these on every lamppost up and down main street and they were so gorgeous!  Anyways, after that we stopped at Costco on our way home to get a few things and then we just came back to Rufio’s to relax.  I blogged for a while and took a little nap before I was off to my next fun adventure.

IMG_0419 Jason sent me some pics just so I could document all the fun that Autumn was having.  At the zoo it was so hot that the kids had to douse themselves in water to keep cool.

IMG_0418 The girls would sit on these saucers and then slide down the steps into the basement.

IMG_6535 At 5:30, I met up at Savory & Sweet (a crepe place) w/ Brenner & Jonesy.  The food was super good, but the company was even better.  We caught up on the last 5 years of each other’s lives.

IMG_6536We stayed there and talked for 2 hours!  We picked up right where we had left off as if no time had passed at all.  We finally decided we’d better get going so we got some dessert crepes to go and I got one of each of their 8 cake balls for us to sample.

IMG_6538We went to Jonesy’s house where we got to say hi to her 3 adorable little girls.  Then Kevin put them to bed and we ate our dessert crepes and watched part of the Olympics.  After that, we turned off the TV and just sat and talked and it’s not a GNO w/out some cute crafts.  Jonesy taught us how to make bows, so we all made some for our cute little girls.  Brenner was such a sport, b/c she had a head cold and wasn’t feeling very good.  I had no idea, but it was already 11:00 at night!  So, we said our “see ya laters” (not good bye) and I rushed home so Rufio could go to bed and not worry anymore.

Again, words cannot express the joy and pure happiness I felt as I spent time w/ these life long friends.  I can’t thank my Heavenly Father enough for putting us into each other’s lives via our missions to Slovenija.  My cup was filled to overflowing today for so many reasons.
