Week 30 was a BIG week b/c Autumn & I went to Utah so she could see her Dad & 1/2 siblings that she hasn’t seen in 4 years. The last time she saw them, she was crawling. I was so excited for her to have real life experiences and memories of her own.
Monday ~ I came up w/ a great idea for how to pack all of Autumn’s outfits since I wouldn’t be there to help her pick out outfits. I put a pair of undies, shorts, shirt, socks, and coordinating bow in a ziplock bag so all she had to do was grab the bag and put on everything in it.
Tuesday ~ She was SO EXCITED when I told her I would come eat lunch w/ her at school before we left to go to the airport. She wore her McDonald’s Happy Meal box on her head.
Wednesday ~ I dropped her off at Jason’s on Wednesday morning and wasn’t sure how she would react when it was time for me to leave. She gave me a hug, waved good bye and went off to play. I was so relieved. Jason sent me this text of Autumn & Khloe playing at the splash park.
Thursday ~ Autumn & Jewelsy spent the morning doing crafts together. It makes me so happy to know she’s having such a great time.
Friday ~ I had to take a picture of this playground, b/c Tara & I used to go get Taco Bell chili cheese burritos at midnight and go sit and talk about boys and college and life in general. I miss her so much but am so grateful for the time we had together.
Me with my “original” 4 babies
Saturday ~ Rufio & I drove up Provo Canyon to Heber since neither of us had been up the canyon in years. We had lunch at Chick’s, which is like a 1950’s diner. Their scones w/ butter and honey were divine.
Sunday ~ This time Autumn has spent w/ her siblings has been priceless. It makes me so happy for her!
Since it was such a big event in our lives, I knew I wanted to do more than just a picture a day. I used Design C and each day was one side. So that meant 5 more pictures each day w/ an open bi-fold journaling card taking the 6th spot.
I knew that I wanted to include receipts, lists, menus, etc from my trip. But, I didn’t want it to take up a lot of extra room. So, I found a pack of 10 baseball card page protectors at the $1 store. I put some stuff in the front 9 pockets…
…and the rest of the stuff on the back of the 9 pockets. I am so happy w/ how documenting this week turned out. Usually a big trip like this would never have been documented. But thanks to Project Life, it’s documented w/ out any muss or fuss. I have pictures printed off, journaled about, and it’s DONE! LOOOOOVE IT!
I’m linked up at The Mom Creative.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY Y’ALL!!!

Thanks for your sweet comment, Lisa! I love how you were able to document the whole trip! The baseball card page protector for the ephemera is particularly clever. We're flying to Boston to visit my parents in a few weeks; I hope I manage to capture our trip as well as you have. :)
