Today was Autumn's first game of her last season of cheer. Bittersweet! It was raining, but they still cheer as long as the boys play. The only time they cancel is if there is lightning.
Coach Gayle is so amazing & we love her to pieces. She even got out there w/ the girls for one of the cheers where they have to pair up but there was an odd number of girls.
Even in the rain they did their end of the game cheer. Coach Gayle just covered up the speakers w/ a poncho & carried on.

Autumn's good friend from school, Lam, even braved the yucky weather to come watch her cheer. That was so sweet of her!

Earlier in the week Riannon had called saying that Olivia asked if we could have an ice cream party at our house. So, this afternoon we made it happen. It wasn't anything fancy but look at that smile on her face. I need to do more fun & simple things like this that create memories.
There is a traveling fair in town, and the kids wanted to go. Frank & I didn't want to go out in the rain so he went to Kroger & got some funnel cake mix (I didn't even know such a thing existed).
We made our own funnel cakes at home for a fraction of the price they charge at the fair.
Plus, we were able to add our own yummy toppings.
Riannon had invited us over tonight to watch The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Society movie. It had a lot of actors from Downton Abbey in it, so I really enjoyed it.
