Temporary Peace & Quiet

This afternoon around 2:00 I couldn't stand the noise & fighting anymore so I loaded the 2 little girls up in the car & took them for a ride. That way they were both contained and couldn't touch each other. I had no plan on where to go, I just got on the freeway and drove north so they were both in the shade. I ended up going 30 minutes north and then turned around in a little town and took the slow way home b/c they had both fallen asleep. It was GLORIOUS to have some peace & quiet. I took this picture in the Kroger parking lot where I let them sleep another 30 minutes.

They were better behaved once they had both had that nap. We were able to do some grocery shopping w/out them trying to hit each other or pull hair.

I keep wanting to call them cousins, but they're not. It's still trippy to me that Alisa is Marissa's sister and Aubrey's aunt! So weird.

Once we got home we let the girls play in the tub together. They loved playing in the bubbles and splashing around. Sweet baby girls all snuggled up in their towels with Autumn.

That was the end of the peace & quiet. Papa & Mimi came over unexpectedly with a surprise. It's the slide that used to be out by the pool. The girls had a lot of arguments over the slide until we were able to teach them that you climb up the back & go DOWN the slide (one would try to go up the slide while the other was trying to go down).

It's trippy to me too that Papa & Mimi are GREAT grandparents now.

They hadn't planned on staying for dinner, but I had just made a huge pan of Million Dollar Pasta b/c I had the 3 creamy ingredients it calls for. We all decided it was pretty good, but not something we had to have all the time. It was nice that Papa & Mimi got to meet Marissa & the 2 great-grandbabies b/c they hadn't met them yet. I LOVE my family!
