Our family was assigned with several other families to help clean the church this morning. I wasn't sure if it was still going to happen w/ the new COVID-19 restrictions. But they said it was still on, but for adults only. No kids. So, Autumn stayed home and I went to represent our family. I used the big vacuum and did all the foyers and hallways.
This afternoon we went over to Liz & Liberty's for Jordan's birthday party. Liz's 86 year old Grandma is SO FUN! She wanted in on all the action and even took a turn whacking the pinata and doing pin the tail on the dinosaur.
Happy 4th birthday to Jordan!
Frank & the boys & Alisa got home safe this afternoon. Alisa's new favorite thing is to spin around the room while watching Elsa. Autumn & I keep telling Alisa to ask the other person to dance w/ her. LOL!
Frank & I needed a date night, so Grant and the kids watched Alisa while we went to the movies. I think we went and saw the new Dr. Doolittle movie w/ Robert Downey Jr. It was good, but not one I will run out and buy when it comes out on video. Notice how empty the theater is ... b/c of the new social distancing rules the theaters are keeping seats open between people.
I needed some things from the store, so Alisa & I went to Walmart at 10:30 at night. I had heard on the news that people were panicking and buying all the toilet paper and paper towels. However, I didn't think people in my hometown would be that gullible. Well, based on these empty shelves I guess I was wrong! This is way more serious than I thought!
There was also NO bread except for Hawaiian rolls! It's crazy the way people are freaking out. I guess they think if they have to self-quarantine for 14 days then they need to be stocked up on the essentials.
