Happy Thanksgiving 2007

Yesterday I made these sugar cookies to take to Aunt Sandy & Uncle Robert's. As you can tell, they did NOT turn out like the picture. I think the sugar cookie in the picture must have been twice the size of the sugar cookies I made. but the kids ate them anyways and loved them.

Little Autumn Bottom got this new outfit from Grammy Lisa, so we dressed her up for her first Thanksgiving. She is definitely one of the greatest things I'm thankful for this year.

Here is Tyler with his little girl, who is just 3 days younger than Autumn. There's a huge difference in weight when you pick them up. Brooke is so much lighter. We had so much fun eating all the traditional Thanksgiving food with lots of family and friends. It's so nice to get together for the holidays.

After we ate, everyone went around the table to say what they were thankful for. I guess my Dad and Uncle Robert had a surprise and had gotten tickets to the Cowboys game. So they all went to the game and I stayed home to take care of Autumn and Andrew (Lex & Jon got to go as well). I'm so glad they got to go and do that. What a fun surprise.

You can't tell very well from this picture, but it was SNOWING! Yes, that is right...SNOW in Texas! And there was a lot of it. I was sitting in Aunt Sandy's living room and it was the most picturesque scene ever. She has a window on each side of her fireplace, and we had a nice fire going. Outside it was snowing in big beautiful flakes and inside I was sitting by the fire looking out at the snow. It doesn't get any more perfect than that on Thanksgiving.

This year the top 5 things I'm thankful for are:
1. The gospel of Jesus Christ and having full fellowship back
2. Autumn and getting to be her mom
3. Family (immediate and extended) that have been there for me through all the rough times this year
4. Friends that have stood by me
5. I am happy, healthy, well cared for, all the things I learned about who I really am and what I've really made of, and the fact that I am so blessed in every aspect of my life

Oh my goodness...Tyler. I remember him from BYU days.

Julia made those sugar cookies too and had to make the cookies extra big to get all the candy corn on. They were very yummy!

ps...hope your back gets to feeling better. :o(
