My (Not So) Baby Ben

This is a picture of Ben & I back in February of 1997.  He was the cutest little guy and I LOVED to babysit the Guthrie kids, especially him.  He was my little buddy and I just loved him to pieces.  Isn’t he so stinkin’ cute?  It seems like when I was a teenager and would babysit all the time that I always had a little baby that I would have a special bond with and vice versa.  In Washington it was Joshua W. and in Central Texas it was Ben.  I loved them as if they were my own.

This is us now…13 years later.  One of us hasn’t changed much at all, and the other one is all grown up!  I can’t believe how tall and mature he is.  He got his learner’s permit and is driving!  It makes me feel so old, b/c I remember him as a little baby as if it were just a few years ago instead of THIRTEEN years ago!  Anyways, I thought it was fun to see him again and how much he has changed.  He’s not my little buddy anymore and I probably made him roll his eyes when I told him that he used to be my baby when he was little.

He’s a sweetheart and Autumn has a little crush on him.  If this were the Twilight series, I would say that Autumn has imprinted on Ben!  The next generation now loves Ben…she is definitely her mother’s daughter.
