Last night I heard Autumn in her room playing and this morning I woke up to her showing me this doll. She had put a ton of elastics on the doll’s hair and it was standing straight up. She wanted me to do the same thing with her hair, but settled for a side ponytail with a few elastics in it instead. She’s such a trend setter and is trying to bring back the 80’s I guess.
Dad picked Autumn up a little early from daycare, so when I got done with work I just went over to his house. Nick found this turtle near the pool and Autumn wanted to show it to me the second I walked in the door. He didn’t like me taking his picture and hissed at me. After I got all the pictures I wanted, Nick went and released it into the creek by the lot.
Dad made frozen enchiladas for dinner with peas. It was super tasty and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. After eating and doing the dishes, I got a text from Liz saying that our good friend Sheila that we used to work with was in town visiting and that I should come over at 7:00 to see her. So, Autumn & I left to stop by our house to get my good camera. On the way out the door, this was the view going down the driveway. I loved the shadow of the flag against the amazing sky.
Then this was the view from our house. I love it when you can see the rays of the sun. It just makes me appreciate the incredible beauty in nature. How can anyone see a picture like this and not believe in a Creator?
We got over to L&L’s and got to meet their new puppy that they got on vacation in Colorado last week. Her name is Lady and she is TOO PRECIOUS! We were laughing at how cute her eyes are and they reminded us of Puss in Boots on Shrek! LOL!
Autumn loved getting to pet the new puppy, but wasn’t too sure when the puppy tried to kiss her. Lady is definitely adorable.
Liz had told me to bring Autumn’s swim suit so she could play in their pool. She liked being in a pool that was just the right depth for her. She could walk around and not drown. She wasn’t too sure about Liberty’s “rainbow,” which surprised me b/c she loves the rainbow in Papa’s pool. About 45 seconds after getting in the pool, she said she had to go potty. So, I just took her over in the grass and let her got potty there instead of dripping water all over L&L’s carpet in their house.
Ghetto? Yep!
Did we care? Nope!
Sheila & Jeremy & Aiden got there and had pizza for dinner. I didn’t eat any b/c I was still stuffed from enchiladas, but Autumn went to town on the breadsticks and ate about 6 of them! I got to love on Aiden while they ate and he is just too precious. He might have changed my mind about only wanting little girls and no little boys. Sheila is such a cute Mom!
Liberty held Aiden so he can get some practice when he & Liz have their own little one. Aiden LOVED Liberty and was all smiles when Liberty would talk to him. It was so stinkin’ cute!
I thought this picture was great and made me laugh and smile b/c Aiden had his finger up to his mouth like he was posing. Yeah, I could definitely handle having a little boy someday if he could be as sweet and loveable as Aiden.
I wanted to get a picture of all of us with our babies. I thought it was funny that Liberty grabbed Lady and came and sat with us girls. Evenings like this just remind me how blessed I am to have such wonderful friends in my life. Sheila is one of those people that you just love being around b/c she’s always happy and upbeat, not to mention funny. And then when you get her and Liz together, it’s the happiness & fun times two. I really enjoyed spending time with them and getting to see Sheila again.
I was finally able to pull Autumn away from the puppies and baby at 9:00 so I could get her home and give her a bath. I got her in bed and then got myself a big old glass of Dr. Thunder (cheap WalMart version of Dr. Pepper) to keep myself awake until midnight so I can go see the 12:01 showing of Eat, Pray, Love. I am SO EXCITED to see it.
