Beauty & The Brownies

IMG_2413 Since we’re usually in a rush in the mornings to get out the door, I either give Autumn a yogurt or banana for breakfast.  But, when I went grocery shopping at WalMart the other day, I bought some pepperoni Lean pockets.  I warmed one up in the microwave this morning to put in Autumn’s lunch b/c she said she didn’t want her usual sandwich.  I just cut the Lean pocket in 1/2 and she ate one 1/2 for breakfast and will eat the other 1/2 for lunch.  Pretty good to get 2 meals for just $1.  Autumn looked so cute this morning and I think aqua is a good color on her.

IMG_2414 After work/school, we went over to Mom & Dad’s and had some ham bone soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner.  Then Autumn & I had to leave at 6:15 b/c 2 ladies in the ward came over to talk about missionary work for a little bit.  After they left, Autumn & I decided to make brownies.  Autumn pulled her chair up to the counter and then went right into the laundry room to get her apron off the back of the door.  She’s such a good little helper.

IMG_2417 She takes after me and likes eating the brownie mix more than the actual brownies themselves.  So, we had a few spatula-fulls of brownie mixture and then put them in the oven to bake.

IMG_2419While we waited for the brownies, Autumn wanted to play a game so we busted out Candyland.  I was a little worried b/c the last time we tried to play this game she didn’t get it and I got frustrated w/ her.  But, since it’s been a while and she’s grown up and matured a little bit, she was able to actually play the game correctly and we had a great time.  She won both times, and not b/c I let her.  After our brownies were done and we sampled one, she took a bath and I watched The Office.  Then I put her to bed and I watched Reba while blogging.  I love Barbara Jean’s character b/c she’s a curvier woman but is still pretty and confident and funny.  That’s how I want to be.  I was good tonight and went to bed at 10:30 instead of staying up to watch Whose Line.

Why is it that little kids always win at board games? I'm always losing to my nephew :)
