Polka Dot Ponca Princess

IMG_3254 This morning after I gave Autumn a bath, I told her to go pick out a dress while I got ready.  She said she wanted to wear this polka dot dress that I bought months and months ago for only $2.50.  We added the cute little red bow belt and an adorable outfit was born to go on an adorable girl.

IMG_3255-1 I’m glad she was in a good mood this morning and let me take her pictures.

Church today was good.  In Primary they talked about the Word of Wisdom and they had us play Scattegories and the letter someone rolled was an “A”.  Here’s what my class came up with:

  1. Fruit: Apple
  2. Vegetable: Acorn squash
  3. Exercise: Acrobats
  4. Prophet: Abinadi
  5. Teacher: Mrs. Anderson
  6. Something Good For Your Body: Almonds
  7. Something Bad For Your Body: Alcohol
  8. Book Of Scripture: Amos
  9. Something In The Word Of Wisdom: ALL (word of wisdom is good for ALL saints)
  10. Temple: Alberta, Canada

It was really fun and the kids had a lot of fun sharing the different answers the different classes came up with.

IMG_3262After  Church, we stopped by our house so I could change clothes, but Autumn wanted to stay in her dress so she could show Papa & Mimi.  We went to Mom & Dad’s house and Mom had made mac & cheese for lunch.  We ate and then Mom sat at the table w/ Autumn and worked w/ her on “homework” and learning letters.  They were doing great and I went over to see what they were doing and as soon as I sat down, Autumn quit paying attention and started being all needy and suddenly couldn’t do her letters.  Do any other parents have that problem w/ their kids?  It seems like she does so much better on homework if it’s Mom or Dad helping her instead of me.

We spent the rest of the evening watching football, and I am SO HAPPY it’s back on again.  I LOVE football.  Mom & I played the Antique Shop game on the iPad and then it was time for Autumn & I to come home.

I watched my Eat Pray Love DVD and I like getting to skip the part where she’s in India.  The Italy & Bali parts are my favorites, so I just watched those.  I was in the mood for brownies, so I made up a batch and undercooked them by a few minutes so they were super chewy and ooey and gooey.  Then I watched Drop Dead Diva and called it a night at midnight.

bl Speaking of warm brownies right out of the oven, I was going to try out for the Biggest Loser in Dallas yesterday.  LOL that brownies make me think of that!  But, Mom is going to Germany in October and it’s a 5 month commitment if you make it on the show and I wouldn’t have anyone to keep Autumn for me.  I have always wanted to be on that show and think I would have a good chance of winning.  I would love to learn about exercising, portion control, what to eat, etc.  Plus I would love to meet Bob and have a chance to inspire others in their own weight loss goals.  And of course the obvious of getting to be on TV.  Oh, well.  I’ll just have to start trying to lose weight on my own.  I guess that means no more warm brownies right out of the oven for me!
