Project Life Tuesday ~ Week 09

This week I was running out of daylight, so I went ahead and got a picture of my spread w/out all the journaling done yet.  But, y’all can imagine that the rest of the journaling cards look like the one that’s already filled out.  I liked being able to fit in more pics this week by using 3 of the 4x6 slots to do collages in Picasa before I had the pics printed.

Monday ~ Tonight after dinner, Autumn wanted Papa to read her a story.  It was so cute to see her climb up on his lap.  She really wanted to touch his facial hair that he’s growing out for the Book of Mormon Pageant (he plays the part of Alma the Younger).

Tuesday ~ I love this picture b/c it shows how little Autumn still is.  It also shows her sense of style w/ her “on purpose” mismatched socks.  I’m sure 10 years from now we’ll look back & laugh at how different phones were in the “good old days,” & I’ll wish Autumn were still small enough to curl up next to me us on the couch.

Wednesday ~ We had Young Women In Excellence tonight & the theme was keys.  I got to talk about the new “Come, Follow Me” curriculum.  I showed my David Bowman pic of Peter walking on water, and talked about the Savior’s invitation to all of us to come unto Him.  It was a nice evening & I liked this big old fashioned key they had on display w/ important “key” pieces.

Thursday ~  For the fundraiser at Autumn’s school today, they did a Boosterthon Fun Fun.  Mom & Dad pledged a $1 per lap & so did I.  As you can see on the back of her t-shirt, she did 34 laps.  Ben’s Mom was there & sent me this cute pic of Autumn running a lap.

Friday ~ I told Autumn she had to do some chores to earn point so go to the hockey game.  I had her put away her clean clothes, & she decided it’s more fun to do chores in a pink ballerina outfit, so that’s what she did!  She arranged her whole closet & all her drawers to be in rainbow colored ordered.  That girl LOVES rainbows!

Saturday (same link as Friday) ~ Autumn’s daycare had special tickets to the hockey game tonight.  Autumn got in for free & my ticket was only $10!  Her daycare director is so awesome & we just love her!  Autumn got a PF Chang coupon from the zeppelin that was flying around!  She chose to forego getting popcorn & cotton candy at the game in order to get a treat she really wanted at McDonald’s after the game.  What a grown up decision!  I’m so proud of her.

Sunday ~ Autumn has been OBSESSED w/ the movie Mamma Mia since we bought it last week at WalMart for just $5.  We watch the “sing along” version so that it has the words at the bottom of the screen.  We love to sing along & dance around.  We’ve also been listening to the ABBA Gold CD in the car.  It’s so fun!

Speaking of music, I wrote some of the songs we like on the filler card for this week.  I did that last year too, and wanted to continue that this year.  It will be so fun to look back in 2, 5, 10, etc years and see which songs were popular (or that we liked) at the time.
