So, last night Mom texted me a picture of Autumn’s new hairdo!!! She cut off 12 inches of hair and Autumn is going to donate it to Locks of Love. Rhiannon had talked to Autumn about it when she was here this summer. We were worried that she wouldn’t like it, but she LOVES it and said she can’t wait for everyone at school to see her. I think she looks ADORABLE and can’t wait to see it in person.
I got up at 5:00 am this morning, b/c that’s the time my body is used to getting up (7:00 am) Texas time. It was good though, b/c I needed to leave by 6:00 am. I went to brush my teeth and it tasted HORRIBLE! I guess the cap came off my perfume and sprayed on my toothbrush bristles. I tried to clean them off, but it didn’t work. Guess I’ll have to stop by a store to get a new one. Note to self … don’t put the toothbrush in the same bag as the liquids.
I was going to take the BART (train) into San Francisco, but I could NOT find the station even though I printed the directions off the internet and stopped and looked them up on my phone. So, I decided to be brave and just drive into San Fran. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The only slow part was going through the toll booth.
I easily got to the studio and even got a free parking spot (which I’ve heard is really hard to come by). I was SO EXCITED when I walked into the creativeLIVE studio. I saw David Higgins (Becky’s husband) walking down the hall and I had to tell myself to be cool and not freak out that I was seeing him in person.
In the email we were told that there would be a small breakfast w/ some bagels and muffins. When I walked in and saw this fabulous spread, I was blown away! It was super fancy and nice.
The other 7 women got there and they had us fill out a form, then they put microphones on us, gave us the run down of what was going to happen, and then it was show time!
It was SO AWESOME to listen to Becky and be in the studio w/ her. After the first segment she came around and gave us all a hug. It was so surreal, but in the best way. I had to snap a pic of her and Cathy prepping for the next segment.
For lunch they had a fabulous catered Mexican meal brought in. Everyone at creativeLive has been SO NICE and treated us like royalty.
The huge smiles on our faces sum up how we all feel. Becky is just as fabulous in real life as she comes across online. This is seriously a dream come true!!!
Here are just a few of the people behind the scenes that have been so wonderful. Meme, Bryan, & Cathy
We wrapped at 4:00 and I got on the freeway as fast as I could so I could avoid as much of the 5:00 rush as I could. I really haven’t seen much of California since it was dark last night when my plane landed and then this morning it was foggy and rainy. It was cool to drive across this bridge and get to see a little peak of California.
I stopped by a WalMart to get a new toothbrush and a few other things. I went to put my stuff in a bag and wondered where they were. Then I realized that you have to pay for grocery bags in California. Say what??? I came home to Hazel’s house and we had dinner, played w/ the kids, and then when they went to bed we watched Project Runway & I blogged.
Autumn is having a GREAT time and I’m so glad to know that she’s in super capable hands and that I don’t have to worry about her. Today has been absolutely fabulous in every possible way.

Foggy and rainy, ha, ha, ha!!! That IS totally San Fran a good part of the year. It's too bad you couldn't see better views from the bridge. I am so glad you got to be part of this experience, it's totally once in a life time!
PS: That paying for your bag must be a new thing. We didn't have to do that except at Whole Foods and that's the case at all their stores, I think.
