Stake Young Women Training

IMG_9789 After dinner tonight I took Autumn over to Nate & Riannon’s so I could go to Stake Training. It was POURING rain, which I love. I had to make a mad dash to the door of the church and got soaked. It was a really good training and I took some good notes about things we can work on and improve. One of those is to be better about following up with the girls on Sunday about what we had them work on or think about during the week from the previous Sunday’s lesson.

I also liked what the high councilman over Young Women’s said how “pockets precede principles.” He said that sometimes we BUILD pockets, and sometimes we FILL pockets in our Young Women’s hearts. We need to make sure that our girls (and ourselves) have pockets, or room in our hearts to receive the truths of the Gospel. If we don’t have room for lessons we need to learn, then we need to build a pocket. Once the pocket is built, then we can fill it w/ doctrine and truth. I liked that imagery.

First, I think happy birthday wishes are in order. That cake and cupcakes looks yum! We also watched The Piano Guys for our activity and I loved it! What a cute idea for a FHE treat fairy! Those look delicious! Hope you are doing well!
