More Downtown Discoveries

Since we got cheated out of our Downtown Discoveries yesterday due to the rain, we decided to go today after we had at home church. We went to visit a town that was "Over Yonder."

I LOVE this bright red brick wall

Anytime Alisa sees a bench, we have to stop so she can sit on it. She was especially excited that this one had horses.

Look at how charming this downtown area is! I love the brick roads and cool awnings and arches across the street.

Alisa also wants to stop and stand in every doorway. She has to try the doorknob to see if it's open first.

I can't even handle those baby blue eyes that just melt my heart!

"You stick 'em up, mister! There ain't even room in this town for the two of us."

Some of my best pics come from when I get her to play peek-a-boo with me.

Pretty flowers to match her pretty dress

I love how patriotic small towns are!

These beautifully painted tiles were put right into the cement sidewalk! Very cool!

A cute older shop lady saw us walking around and went and got Alisa a lollipop. We almost had the whole town to ourselves due to the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Sometimes I feel like that's all we do w/ her ... clean night and day. LOL!

Another patriotic flag outside of a cute shop.

We had to stop in the gazebo in the middle of town so Alisa could run around and sing and eat her lollipop.

By this time, we were both hot and tired so we went to the car to get a drink. We drove around town a little bit more and I found this adorable weighing/train station/museum a few blocks away. We had to stop for just a few more pics.

Stopping to catch her breath after running up and down this plankway several times. After this, she was DONE so we packed up and came home.

When we got home she napped for a little bit, played w/ her unicorn for a little bit, and then we got ready to do a "Graduation Parade."

Dirty Hands

Little Miss Tooley Bell looks so cute in her 4th of July dress. She was sitting at her computer being so cute this morning.

I know this picture is blurry, but that's how life with Alisa is ... non-stop and energetic and fun and crazy. Her happy smile says it all.

But then she also has moments like this (usually when she's not getting her way). She wanted to go outside and play but it was raining and the backyard was too wet and muddy.

However, she still managed to find some mess and dirt when she went out to check the mail w/ Daddy while there was a break in the rain. She tripped in the grass and got her legs and hands all dirty. Look at that sweet little face.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Alisa had so much fun jumping around on the trampoline in her new pretty dress and cute pants. She was also "leading the music" to some of the songs. She likes to wave her arms around like the music conductors do on Sundays.

We went over to say hi to Papa & Mimi. Papa has a Papa Smurf beard! Alisa loves to climb up on Mimi's lap and have a sip of Mimi's drink.

Autumn was saying how she wants a jean jacket, so Papa went and got his for her to try on. She was sad that it's too big, but she said she'd try it out for a few days anyways.

Alisa needed to run around and burn off some energy, so we went out in the backyard. It was raining, but she didn't mind at all and had the time of her life playing in the rain. I got some super cute video of her running around singing, "rain, rain, go away. Come again another day."

She eventually got so soaked that I had to take off her clothes and let her run around in her diaper.

Endodontist Root Canal

I am cursed with bad teeth. My Dad is super good about brushing and flossing his teeth every day, and he still has major dental issues. So, I guess in inherited those not so great English/British teeth. Anyways, I had to go in for a root canal today b/c it's been hurting. But my dentist wasn't sure if there was a 4th canal that was hiding in there so his secretary found me a same-day appointment with an endodontist. He did a great job and I had zero pain, even after the numbing shot wore off. YAY!

I hadn't printed any of my 2019 pictures for my Project Life book, so I got those all printed and they were delivered today. I had so much fun going through and putting them into the plastic pages. I already had all the cards in there, I just had to add the pictures. It made me so happy!

New Patio Furniture

Frank is a brave man and texted me a picture of Alisa eating a snowcone in the truck by herself. He said she actually did really well and spilled just a little bit on her shirt!

A friend at church said they were getting rid of their patio furniture for free, so Frank went and picked it up. Now we'll have somewhere to sit while we watch Alisa play in the back yard.

It's The Little Things

Y'all, the nail situation is getting bad!!! I would just rip them off, but that hurts super bad and my real nails underneath are so fragile.

There was a pretty sunset tonight. It's the little things in life that mean so much!

Happy Birthday Grant

Today is Grant's birthday and we didn't get we'd think to see him b/c he was over at Kelsea's. But he stopped by to get some stuff and say hi. He's always the life of the party and we're so thankful he's a part of our family.

Autumn did Alisa's hair today and she looked ADORABLE!

What a pampered life she leads. Wearing her birthday crown while taking her unicorn for a walk.

She is going to be a bungee jumper someday b/c Frank does this with her!

She has NO FEAR and just goes flying.

Frank wrapped her up like a baby and pretended to feed her a bottle. Look at the love and happiness and adoration on her face.

Autumn wanted to get in on the crazy action too, so she and Frank threw Alisa around and Alisa was loving every minute of it.

We had to get a family pic while we had almost everyone (missing Marissa and the girls) together.

Happy Mother's Day 2020

Dad got me an orchid corsage just like he has ever since Autumn was born. I made sure to wear it today.

This morning Frank woke up and said he felt like we needed to go to Oklahoma to see his Mom. So, on the spur of a moment, we loaded up the car and hit the road. Alisa looking cool in my sunglasses.

I LOVE purple thistle blossoms and we pulled over on the side of the road so I could get a picture of these. There's a bee on the bottom right-hand side of the purple blossom.

We brought our table and everything to do the sacrament with them. We stayed outside, wore our masks, and tried to social distance.

Alisa kept running up to the porch and would see a bee and come running back down the driveway.

She and I walked around for a little bit so Frank & his parents could have a conversation in peace and quiet without being interrupted every 5 seconds. We went and waved to the cows in the neighboring pasture.

Then we went and said hi to the chickens and found a dandelion puff.

I'm thankful for the shade and a nice breeze, which made it tolerable to be outside. It was so wonderful to see them and spend just an hour with them. I'm thankful for such loving and caring in-laws. GrannyMom is a remarkable woman and I aspire to be like her.

Alisa was sleepy on the way home. I made sure to bring her blanket and teddy bear so she'd nap and not be a hellion.

I had to get a picture with my 2 baby girls. I'm so thankful to be a mother to these 2 and also Marissa and the boys. I also miss Jason's 3 oldest kids that I got to be a step-Mom to for a while.

I'm beyond thankful for my own Mom who taught me how to be a great mother. I never understood just how much sacrifice and love goes into being a mother until I became one myself. She's amazing and I am grateful I get to be her daughter.
