Monday ~ I had an appointment to get a haircut tonight. So, Autumn & I had a pizza picnic at the duck ponds by our old house. It was windy & cloudy today and I got this cool pic of Autumn’s “Pocahontas Colors of the Wind” type pic.
Tuesday ~ Sis. Wright let Mom borrow this book to read b/c she said it was so good. It was a quick read b/c it only took a few hours to read the whole thing. It was an EXCELLENT book & had such a great message to it of how by “small and simple things are great things” brought about.
Wednesday ~ Tonight for Young Women’s we had a combined activity & it was the “Missionary Olympics.” There were stations set up around the gym and each group rotated around to each station. Some of them were giving a one minute on-the-spot lesson, tying a tie, packing a suitcase, trying foreign foods, etc. It was a fun activity.
Thursday ~ Tonight Autumn & Mom & Dad & I went to Billy’s baptism. Curt used to be his hockey coach! The missionaries were out knocking doors in his neighborhood & he was sitting out on his porch and they started talking. That was just one short month ago and he’s completely embraced the Gospel and decided to get baptized. The Spirit was so strong when he bore his testimony! What a neat kid.
Friday ~ Tonight was Mormon Prom & I chaperoned the dance w/ Karri. We drove one of my girls and her date out to the dance. Karri & I had SO MUCH FUN! We went in the photo booth & Karri used the mustache prop as a uni-brow. It was a blast and I just love her so much!
Saturday ~ Today Mom & Nick & Autumn & I went to see The Croods. It’s about a caveman family, and it was really really good. I even cried a few times b/c it was so touching and relatable. They had this display out in the lobby, so we had to stop and get a pic. Then Mom treated us to lunch at Chipotle. When we got home, Autumn & I went out and mowed the lawn together.
Sunday ~ Today in Young Women’s, the lesson was about the Apostasy (Dark Ages) & the Restoration of the Gospel. I basically did a big timeline of major events from Adam through Jesus Christ to current day. As part of my treat (I always like to have a cute handout and treat to go along w/ my lessons), I gave the girls some Nerds Rope. I told them that all the little Nerds candy on the rope were like all the events on the timeline that got them to where they are today. They seemed to like it & understand the concept. I love getting to teach in Young Women’s! It’s my favorite calling.
I am linked up over at The Mom Creative.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY, Y’ALL!!!

Love that first picture with your daughters hair blowing so perfectly in the wind. How come mine never looks like that on windy days ;0) Another great week!
I also love YW--I am first counselor. My daughter went to her Mormon Prom this past weekend--you don't live in KS do you?? :) You do a great job with your calling! I always like to look and see what you are up to! Have a great week!!
Great summary of your week. It is nice to see someone else doing PL as a 365 project. I love that you took a photo next to the movie ad. I'll have to remember that the next time we go to the movies.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE that Monday picture. I'm going to have to take my kids to see The Croods. Sounds like such a fun movie.
