Project Life Tuesday ~ Week 18

P1060481 I came up with what I think is a pretty clever idea.  At work, I was opening the mail and I noticed the inside of one of the envelopes had a really cool pattern on it.  So, I brought it home instead of throwing it away like I usually do.  I opened the envelope all the way up and just traced a grid journaling card on it and cut it out.

P1060469 The next day I looked inside of each envelope I opened, and found some AWESOME patterns that I brought home and cutout to use for my 3x4 Project Life cards.  I am excited to use the 2 patriotic ones during the week of the 4th of July.  The best part of all…they were FREE!  Can’t beat that!

Monday ~ Autumn learned about a budget when I took her to Toys R Us to use a birthday gift certificate and a coupon.  She did a great job.

Tuesday ~ It was Autumn’s ballet “recital” tonight.  She did such a great job and I’m so thankful that Papa & Mimi came to support her, too.

Wednesday ~ We went to a golf range for a combined Laurels/Priest activity tonight.  It was really fancy and swanky, and the weather was perfect.

Thursday ~ Mom made a super nice meal of grilled pork chops and grilled veggies.  We all ate dinner, and then Autumn said she was still hungry and wanted a PB&J sandwich.  We all ended up having one even though we had just had dinner.  We decided that the PB&J’s were dessert.

Friday ~ Our neighbor’s sprinklers were on when we got home, so Autumn & I ran through them and then left our wet footprints on the sidewalk.  It was so fun and spontaneous and we were laughing like crazy.

Saturday ~ I accidentally broke off part of Nick’s car’s passenger side mirror when I was backing it out of the garage for him.  Autumn & I had breakfast at Sonic while we waited for our car to get an oil change and state inspection.  Then we vacuumed out the car and got the car washed.  Mom & I went shopping and then we all went swimming for the first time this season.  I mowed the lawn as a small token of my appreciation for all that Mom & Dad do for us.  It was a busy Saturday!

Sunday ~ I told Autumn what letters to write and she wrote this card to send to Rufio for Mother’s Day.

IMG_5792 To make Autumn’s trip to Toys R Us on Monday stand out, I cut out this little graphic that was on top of the receipt and slipped it in the journaling pocket.

IMG_5794I had some left over journaling cards from the original Project Life kit, and decided to use them for an adorable card to attach to some homemade fudge for a Mother’s Day gift.  LOVE IT that I’m able to find more and more practical and simple uses for Project Life.

I’m linked up over at The Mom Creative.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY Y’ALL!

Love all your journal cards made from envelopes. I've done that with a pretty blue one, but you got some great designs!

Have a great week!

Great post Lisa. That idea to use envelopes is fantastic - I will be checking to see what inside mine now.

Your collages look great.

Thanks for sharing.
